There are countless workout programs on the market today and many of them tend to focus on a whole body workout. The selection for workouts that target specific muscle groups is minimal, especially if you are searching for workouts that focus on tightening up your behind. While this is an area that virtually every woman wants to improve in some way, the selection for butt specific workouts is slim.
Leandro Carvalho’s exclusive TriAngle Training method works all three major muscles of your buttocks. Work out with him and you’ll have fun getting bikini-ready with Brazilian dance, cardio, and body sculpting moves!
The Brazil Butt Lift is one of the most popular workout programs that target the butt area and it has grown increasingly popular recently. Thanks to Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, women everywhere are snatching up the Brazil Butt Lift workout in order to obtain the firm, round booty they have been dreaming of.
The Brazil Butt lift workout program is yet another workout series featured in the Beachbody suite. It includes DVDs that focus on the major muscles in your butt, otherwise known as your gluteus maximus. The program was created by well-known celebrity trainer, Leandro Carvalho, to strengthen and define the muscles in your butt and lower body. Leandro has trained some of the sexiest women in the world, including Alessandra Ambrosio and the rest of the Victoria’s Secret Angels.
Through the techniques used in the various workouts in the Brazil Butt Lift series, you will work muscles in your butt that you never imagined existed. Leandro’s workout helps slim down the butt and lower body area without enlarging the muscles and bulking them up. The program features upbeat music with a boot camp style workout. Leandro also incorporates various types of dance into the series, including the recently popular Zumba, Samba, ballet and Capoeira.
In addition to dance moves and boot camp style exercises, Leandro also incorporates basic butt toning moves such as lunges, squats and jumping jacks. After several days of doing the workout on a regular basis, you will undoubtedly feel soreness in your lower body that you have never felt before. By doing the program routinely and completing the 60 day program regimen, you should be able to burn calories, lose weight and see a noticeable difference in your pants.
When you purchase the Brazil Butt Lift program, you will receive six workouts on three DVDs, the extra Bum Bum Rapido Workout, a Booty Makeover Guide, Booty Makeover Calendar, a Fat-Burning Food Guide, TriAngle Training Workout Cards, a Measurement Tracker Card with a tape measure, the 6-Day Supermodel Slimdown Plan, a strength band and Beachbody’s famous 24/7 online support.
In addition to the many items that already come with the Brazil Butt Lift workout, you will also want to have ankle weights and a workout mat on hand. The ankle weights should be anywhere from 1-8 pounds, depending on your fitness level and strength. You can use a basic workout mat or a yoga mat since many of the exercises are done on the floor and some on your knees.
There are six Brazil Butt Lift Workouts in the series and you get an additional workout free as a bonus with your order. The schedule that accompanies the program outlines the order in which you should do the workouts and which days of the week are considered rest days. Below is a detailed description of what each workout entails so you know what to expect before popping the DVD in and getting to it.
The Basics workout is 20 minutes long and serves as an introduction to the series, showing you how to do each of the moves in the series correctly and with proper form. Leandro will slowly walk you through each and every move he incorporates into the program and helps you master the technique prior to delving into the more intense DVDs. You can do the Basics workout alone on your first day or jump right into the program by following it up with the next video in the series, the Bum Bum.
The Bum Bum workout is slightly longer, at 35 minutes long, and focuses on sculpting your butt with fat blasting lower body moves.
High & Tight
The High & Tight workout is also 35 minutes long and includes many of the lower body moves that you are probably already familiar with. Lunges, squats and jumping jacks will help tone your butt and thighs to get you ready for bikini season.
This is the longest workout in the series at just under an hour (50 minutes). It is more of an all over body workout and it helps tighten and tone muscles from head to toe. With this workout, you will be using your bands and ankle weight a lot throughout the video.
This fast paced, cardiovascular workout will keep you entertained while helping you melt away fat all over. It is 30 minutes long and incorporates dance moves, similar to a Zumba class, to get your heartrate up and make you sweat.
This ab workout DVD will help tone your abs and give you a flat stomach to help accent the toned behind you are working on.
Bum Bum Rapido Workout
The Bum Bum Rapido workout is a quick, 10 minute workout to do when you are short on time. You can do it alone or do it in addition to any of the other workouts in the program to lengthen your exercise time.
Booty Makeover Guide
The Booty Makeover Guide will help you determine which approach you want to take when doing the Brazil Butt Lift Program. It will give you somewhat of a “Booty Blueprint” and help you customize the program to fit your goals. First you will determine whether you have a pear shaped, small behind, large behind or a combination, and then you will decide which workout calendar you will choose to follow during the 60 day plan.
Booty Makeover Calendar
The Calendar will outline what workout you need to do and when to do it according to the plan you chose to follow after determining your shape.
Fat Burning Food Guide
The Fat Burning Food Guide will give you a plan that is easy to follow, including recipes that you can make ahead for the week. It is best to plan your ahead meals so that you have healthy options handy when hunger strikes. The food guide also includes recipes and snack ideas, along with a shopping list to make it as easy as possible for you to eat healthy.
TriAngle Training Workout Cards
If you are traveling for business, on a much needed vacation or just do not have time to pop in one of the workouts, you can use the TriAngle Training Workout Cards to get your workout on the go. The cards are also ideal to use if you plan to get your workout in at work during your lunch hour or during one of your breaks.
Measurement Tracker Card and Tape Measure
The program features a measurement tracker card and tape measure so you can see the results after the 60 day workout program has been completed. Use the tape measure and card to measure your arms, legs, hips, butt and waist prior to beginning the program, at the 30 day point and once again when you have completed it. Although the program is intended to tone your butt and lower body, it will still help you lose inches all over your body due to the daily workouts you are doing and the healthy meal plan you are following.
Free Online Support
Beachbody offers free online support with each and every one of their workout programs. Beachbody coaches from all over the world are online daily to answer questions on the forum, give you fitness and nutrition tips and provide support if you are lacking motivation or need help completing a program. The Beachbody program trainers, including Leandro, are also online throughout the month to answer your questions personally. All of this is free and available to you when you purchase Brazil Butt Lift or any of Beachbody’s other workout series.
Although the title of the program implies that it is simply a butt and/or lower body workout, the Brazil Butt Workout actually ends up giving you a workout from head to toe. By the end of the week, when you have done all of the videos in the series, you will likely be sore from head to toe, but especially in the lower body area. You may not realize it but your arms, legs and ab muscles are also working in order to help you keep your balance and complete the moves.
The workouts are difficult if you do not grasp the moves in the Basics video and, even after mastering the moves, you may still feel like you do not compare to the Latin girls in the videos. You will be moving your hips like you would in a Zumba class and, although you may feel silly, the moves will be helping to tone you up and sculpt you from the neck down.
When it comes to results, this really depends on you and how much you put into each video. Since most of the moves are focused on dance moves without additional equipment (except ankle weights), you have the option of performing them at a low or high intensity. A workout can seem very difficult and you will be completely out of breath if you do the workout with as much intensity as you can. You can also feel like you did not get much of a workout if you take the lazy approach and do the moves slowly and without much emphasis on form. The moves performed are not very difficult so it is a program that virtually anyone can do.
During the first week, the guide suggests that you perform the workouts without any additional equipment, such as your ankle weights or resistance bands. This is so you can get used to the moves and understand the intensity even without increasing the difficulty. You will feel sore even without additional equipment and will realize how much more difficult the moves are as soon as you begin week 2 and incorporate ankle weights.
For most Brazil Butt Lift participants, the most difficult part is the soreness they will experience after doing the workouts. Since you are working your lower body more than you have ever done before with traditional whole body workouts, you may feel increased soreness to the point that it can be uncomfortable. What you have to remember is that this will pass and your body will eventually get more accustomed to the workouts.
One of the most obvious positive aspects of this program is that it targets an area that virtually every woman in the world wants to improve on, the butt. The butt is something that women focus on, as do men, and it is very difficult body part to tone and sculpt. So, what are the pros and cons?
- The program targets women’s main problems, such as the inner and outer thighs, stomach, thighs and behind.
- The workout can be modified to fit your needs depending on your own fitness level.
- All you need to do the program effectively is ankle weights and a resistance band. If you choose to, you can do the program without the ankle weights as well.
- The workout features workout cards that allow you to get a workout anywhere you are, even without a DVD player.
- The workouts are short but, if you want a longer workout, you can do more than one workout per day as the schedule suggests.
- Most reviews for the program are positive and vouch for the claims that the program makes saying it can lean up your lower body and firm up your legs and thighs.
- The workout tends to be tailored towards women’s problem areas and is not one that is ideal for men.
- It is a great cardio workout but does not offer much when it comes to increasing muscle size. If you are looking to bulk up your legs and increase muscle, this would not be the program you would want to use.
If you are a female, then you will most likely see results from Brazil Butt Lift and this will be a program that could improve your physique. If you are a male, this is most likely not a program that would interest you. Most men are looking to improve their upper body, such as their chest, arms and abs, and this program focuses on the lower body problem areas, such as legs, butt and thighs.
Overall, the program seems to be a woman’s dream come true. Most women would love to improve their lower body, including their legs, butt and stomach, and this program claims to be able to do that in as little as 60 days This is one of the few programs targeting the lower body, specifically, and seems to be one that is getting rave reviews. While Brazil Butt Lift focuses on the lower body, it also includes workouts that work your body from head to toe. It will help you tone and sculpt your butt while also giving you an overall leaner physique. If you follow the program religiously and also incorporate the eating plan, you will definitely see results even after the first 30 days. The program suggests taking your measurements prior to starting and you should definitely do that in order to see exactly where you made improvements and where you didn’t. This will help show you the areas you should focus on more the next time you do the program, if you opt to do it for another 90 days.
As previously mentioned, you can do the program several different ways, depending on your fitness level. If you choose to do it aggressively, doing multiple workouts in one day, you will obviously see better results than if you did only one workout per day and at a low intensity. With all workouts, you get out of it what you are willing to put in and it is not different with the Brazil Butt Lift Program.
After completing the 60 days, I lost a little over an inch on my hips, an inch around my waist and 8 pounds. I felt better in a bikini and I will definitely be doing it again off and on while adding in regular gym workouts.

All things considered, I have to give the program some credit. It really did help me firm up my legs and thighs more than my usual treadmill or elliptical workout. I needed variety in my exercise routine and this program gave me that.
Julissa Real – Los Angeles, CA
I lost almost the entire 20 pounds (18 pounds to be exact) and saw muscle tone and definition in my legs that I have never seen before. The program proved me wrong and, although I am not a fan of the title, the series really does improve your booty in more ways than one.
